Counselling
Our Counselling Services
Appointments are offered in-person, online, or as “walking appointments”.
Intake Appointments
Intake appointments are your first step toward getting the support you need. During this initial meeting, our Community Support Worker will ask about your background, current concerns, goals, and provide support and understanding as you share your story. Together you’ll build a care plan for moving forward — all information is completely confidential and will only be shared with your permission.
Peer Counselling
We offer a type of non-clinical counselling called “Peer Counselling”. It’s focused on offering empathy, practical support, and shared understanding based on lived experience. It creates a safe, non-judgemental space where individuals can explore feelings, develop coping strategies, and set achievable goals. Peer counselors use active listening, reflective feedback, and collaborative problem-solving to empower others, reduce isolation, and build resilience. Rooted in mutual respect and confidentiality, peer counselling helps people feel heard, understood, and better equipped to navigate life’s challenges.
Our Community Support Worker has experience with supporting those going through a variety of mental and physical health concerns, including: anxiety, depression, neurodivergency, loneliness, thoughts of suicide, self harm, disordered eating, addiction, grief and loss, bullying, chronic pain, and other chronic health challenges.
Group & Family Counselling
Group and family peer counselling offers a supportive, non-judgemental space where people can come together to listen, learn and heal. Our Community Support Worker will help to guide conversations that build understanding, strengthen communication, and mediate disputes while being solution-focused. Sessions focus on mutual support, normalizing feelings, sharing resources and developing skills to manage stress, conflict and caregiving challenges. Whether navigating disagreements, mental health concerns, addiction, caregiving, or life transitions, group and family peer counselling helps participants feel less isolated, gain new perspectives and create networks of ongoing support. Sessions are confidential, respectful of each family’s values and tailored to the group’s needs.
